RIFLE RANGE RULES

            • Safety glasses and hearing protection MUST be worn at all times while on the range or in the parking area.
            • RED LIGHTS MUST be on whenever a shooter goes downrange.
            • Actions must be open, magazines removed from the firearm and NO handling of firearms when the RED LIGHT is on or shooters are forward of the firing line.
            • A high-visibility ORANGE or YELLOW hat or vest must be worn when going downrange.
            • There shall be no use of alcoholic beverages or controlled substances while using the range.
            • MEMBERS ONLY are permitted on the range.  Non-members will be asked to leave for the first offense.  A second offense will result in trespassing charges being filed.
            • All members must have their membership cards in their possession while using the range and present it upon request by any member.
            • NO ARMOR piercing or TRACER ammunition permitted at any time.
            • No loaded firearms outside of the shooting area.  Do not load until you are ready to shoot.
            • Treat every firearm as if it is loaded
            • Do not shoot target frames or place targets directly on target frames.
            • There shall be no shooting of glass or clay targets of any kind on range.
            • Courtesy and consideration should be extended to other members so that everyone has an opportunity to shoot and check targets.  Rapid firing of Semi-Auto Rifles should be done on the Carbine Range.
            • Range hours are 8am until the end of legal shooting hours as defined by the PA Game Commission except on Sunday open @ 9am and Monday open @ 10am due to range maintenance.
            • NO personal steel targets are permitted to be used closer than 100 yards.  The steel targets provided by the club are placed at appropriate distances for your enjoyment.
            • No 50 BMG PERMITTED on Range at any time.
            • Fully Automatic Weapons are permitted with Special Permit and on designated days with a Range Safety Officer Only.
            • Waynesboro Fish and Game is not responsible for any personal property.
            • Clean all empty cases, targets and trash when finished shooting.

 

 

PISTOL RANGE RULES

WARNING

BULLETS FRAGMENT WHEN HITTING STEEL HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO SPLASH BACK TO THE SHOOTING LINE OR PARKING AREA.  EYE PROTECTION IS REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT SHOOTING.

            • Safety glasses and hearing protection MUST be worn at all times while on the range or in the parking area.
            • DO NOT MOVE STEEL TARGETS!!
            • PISTOL CALIBERS ONLY.  Absolutely NO RIFLE CALIBER pistols permitted.  AR and AK style pistols in 223/5.56, 7.62x39mm, 6.8 SPC, 300 blk, etc. are PROHIBITED.  Pistol caliber carbines are permitted.
            • No armor piercing, penetrator or tracer ammunition permitted at any time.
            • A high-visibility ORANGE or YELLOW hat or vest must be worn when going downrange.
            • There shall be no use of alcoholic beverages or controlled substances while using the range.
            • All shotgun slugs, steel shot and 3″ magnum are PROHIBITED except for .410 for personal defense loads.
            • No shooting wood with shotgun slugs.
            • No BB guns or air rifles may be fired at the steel targets.
            • No handling of firearms when shooters are forward of the firing line.  All actions must be open with magazines removed before going forward of the firing ling.
            • Members ONLY are permitted on the range.  Non-members will be asked to leave for the first offense.  A second offense will result in trespassing charges being filed.
            • All members must have their membership card in their possession while using the range and present it upon request of any member.
            • No loaded firearms outside of the shooting area.  Do not load until you are ready to shoot.
            • Treat every firearm as if it is loaded.
            • The target stands are adjustable for distance and are moveable.  Please do not shoot the target frames or stands.  Tape or staple your targets to the center of the backer board.
            • DO NOT hang paper or other targets from the steel target frames, it can be dangerous and destroys the target frames.
            • Range hours are 8am until the end of legal shooting hours as defined by the PA Game Commission except on Sunday open @9am and Monday oepn @ 10am due to range maintenance.
            • Waynesboro Fish and Game is not responsible for any personal property.

CARBINE RANGE RULES

WARNING

BULLETS FRAGMENT WHEN HITTING STEEL HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO SPLASH BACK TO THE SHOOTING LINE OR PARKING AREA.  EYE PROTECTION IS REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT SHOOTING!

 

            • Safety glasses and hearing protection MUST be worn at all times while on the range or in the parking area.
            • ABSOLUTELY NO ONE IS PERMITTED DOWN RANGE OR IN FRONT OF THE FIRING LINE AT ANY TIME!!!
            • No magnums or cartridges with a muzzle velocity greater than 3000 FPS are permitted as they can damage the steel targets.
            • No armor piercing, penetrator, or tracer ammunition permitted at any time.
            • There shall be no use of alcoholic beverages or controlled substances while using the range.
            • Only shoot the steel targets that are present on the range.  DO NOT hang paper or other targets from the target frames.
            • No clay targets are permitted to be used on this range at any time!
            • MEMBERS ONLY are permitted at this range.  Non-members will be asked to leave for the first offense.  A second offense will result in trespassing charges being filed.
            • All members must have their membership card in their possession while using the range and present it upon request of any member.
            • No loaded firearms behind the Firing Line.  Do not load until you are ready to shoot.

            • Treat every firearm as if it is loaded.
            • Fully automatic weapons are NO PERMITTED on this range at ANY TIME without Special Permit and Accompanied by Range Safety Officer.
            • Range hours are 8am until end of legal shooting hours as defined by the PA Game Commission except on Sunday open @ 9am and Monday open @ 10am due to range maintenance.
            • Waynesboro Fish and Game is not responsible for personal property
            • Clean all empty cases, targets and trash when finished shooting.
